About Carol

Carol Fukunaga has served our community with distinction for over 30 years.   Most recently as a member of the Honolulu City Council and previously as a State Senator and State Representative.  Few public servants can claim the breadth of experience that Carol brings to the table each day.

Carol Fukunaga grew up in Waikīkī, Pearl City and graduated from Roosevelt High School, received her Bachelor's Degree at the University of Hawaiʻi, Mānoa where she was a member of the first graduating class of the William. S. Richardson School of Law.

Carol Fukunaga is a strong, experienced voice, someone  who understands state, local and federal government, asks the tough questions to keep officials accountable, and brings people together to get things done.

Carol Fukunaga understands how you have to bridge the 'silos' in government to build infrastructure, protect the environment, manage tourism and grow industries like film and digital media, health and wellness, or related industries.
